TIU Men's Soccer 2021 Senior Day Video

Summary

From concept to realization, this video was seven years in the making.

As a high school student, I remember watching college soccer highlight videos from various schools and thinking they were so cool, so when I signed to play soccer for the Trinity International University Trojans, I always hoped that I’d get a chance to shoot and edit a video like this one. The problem was:

1. I was on the team,

2. I didn’t have a camera, and

3. I didn’t have the time.

So college came and went, and the opportunity never came… until a few years later.

In the spring of 2021, the class that was freshmen when I was a senior was now graduating, I had recently purchased a camera, and their senior day match was on a Saturday. So I decided to pack up my camera, drive the two-and-a-half hours back to school, and see what I could do.

This video was the result.

The entire film was shot on a Canon M50 and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
