2023 SAVMA Symposium

Summary
In 2023, the annual national conference for the Student American Veterinary Medical Association, SAVMA Symposium, came to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine, and I was given the privilege to create all of the branding assets for the event.
Color Palette
Using secondary colors from the university color palette, the event color palette includes a bright red-orange, a bright yellow-orange, and various shades of sky blue.
Design Assets
For all event branding, I was required to use the SAVMA Symposium logo unaltered, so for the event design assets I decided to go with a simple badge design that could be paired easily with the SAVMA Symposium logo. It includes an outline of the state with a custom “Illinois” script and a paw print dotting the letter “i”. In addition to the badge, a corn pattern was included to visually represent the corn fields that surround the campus.
